DAYUM

DAYUM fights for accountability from leaders, justice for our communities, and a seat at the table for all marginalized youth.

Our program is an activist organization run by high school students. We offer training, campaign development, and direct action coordination for the issues students are passionate about. Our events so far have included The March For Our Lives, a Youth Summit on Guns and Violence, a student strike on count day, and a water testing research project. We are also involved in coalitions protesting Project Green Light, water shutoffs, and education inequity.

DAYUM grew out of the group of young people who organized the Detroit branch of the March for Our Lives in spring 2018. We engaged over 10,000 people in this action and wanted to continue to provide a space for youth leadership in activism.
